CertSuite Asset – Scanning and printing barcodes and QR codes [09-0603]
With CertSuite Asset you can print labels with a QR code and some text: it works with any of these Brother printers:
- PT-E310BT
- PT-E560BT
- PT-P710BTH
- QL-820NWB
How to scan labels that have barcodes or QR codes:
- On the mobile app, open an Asset test
- Look for the 'scan' icon to the right of the ID (see screenshot)
- Click the icon
- CertSuite will now use the camera in your mobile device to scan for a barcode/QR code
- If it finds one, it will read it in as the asset ID
How to print labels that have barcodes or QR codes:
- You must have the Asset test open that you want to print
- Tap the blue 'User ID' button (top right hand corner of the App - see below, left hand image)
- Tap 'Enable Print' from the options that then display (below, right hand image)
- The available printers are listed
- Tap the one that you want to connect to: note that you must have paired your device with this printer via Bluetooth beforehand
- To print, tap the blue Label icon on the Details page of the app (see screenshot below)
- The label will now print
Attach the label to the asset: the next time that the asset is tested, you can scan the label to open it in CertSuite: all of the details from the last test will display.
Labels of different sizes: if your label printer can print different size labels, you can select which you want via Print Settings: this can be accessed by tapping the blue User ID button, top right.
