  7. If you are outside the Free Trial you must have a spare licence in order to be able to create a new user - otherwise you will be asked to buy an additional licence through the Checkout box

'Benching' users ...

Benching a user means taking away their licence to create a spare licence that can then be given to another user. Users with no licences sit on the 'bench', but can be brought back into play at any time simply by giving them a licence.

Why bench a user? It is a great way of rotating your team to cover for sickness and holidays, and to ensure that you have the right expertise for the right job.

  1. Log In to your account
  2. Tap the Admin tab in the main header bar and select ‘Account Management’
  3. Select ‘Licences and Payment’ from the side menu
  4. Uncheck whichever radio button is filled for the user that you want to bench
  5. When the 'Bench user' box appears tap 'Yes' to confirm the removal of the licence from that user
  6. That user's row now appears dark grey in the table

Restore a benched user ... benched users can be brought back into play at any point - just check one of the radio buttons to assign them a licence

  1. Benched users are shown in dark grey rows in the Licences and Payment table
  2. To restore them - i.e. give them a new licence - simply click the desired radio button
  3. Tap 'Add to shopping cart' at the 'Apply Licence' box
  4. The row colour changes from dark grey to white/light grey, indicating that the user has been restored and has an active licence
  5. Note that if you are outside the Free Trial you must have a spare licence in order to be able to restore a benched user - otherwise you will be asked to buy an additional licence through the Checkout box

  10. Note that to see your deleted users in the Licences and Payment table simply check the 'Show deleted users' box (top left)
  11. Deleted users are shown in red rows: none of their radio buttons can be checked at this point - but that can always be changed ...
