PAT: filling in Job Details [08-0102]
Filling in the Job Details in PAT is really easy. Here we look at all of the boxes on the Job Details page in turn ...
... starting with, Job Name
- The Job Name does not appear on the PAT Report.
- It is there to help you identify the jobs in your Jobs List, e.g. ‘Garage’, ‘Council Offices’, ‘Training College’, etc.
Client Name
- The Client Name must be filled before any test results can be added.
- Choose an existing Client from your Contacts List, by tapping the blue search icon.
- Or create a new Client by tapping the blue ‘+’ button.
- The new Client will be automatically saved to your Contacts List.
- Note that all assets and test results for a job are linked to the Client, and so once the Client-Job link is created it cannot be undone.
- Client Details can always be changed, however, using the edit button: change the name, address, phone and email.
- As soon as there is a Client Name, you can start testing.
Contract Ref.
- This detail is optional: it appears on the report, as a reference for you and the Client.
PAT report 'To comply with...'
Choose one of the two options, or leave empty. The options are:
- HSE HSG107 3rd Edition
- Code Of Practice 5th Edition
This detail appears on the report.
Job Date & Job Sign-Off Date
- Fill with the drop down calendar.
Job Sign-Off Person
- Tap ‘Choose Me’ to nominate yourself, or tap ‘Other’ to select one of your colleagues (if any are listed).
- Whoever is chosen, their signature will appear on the report.
Job Notes
- The Job Notes do not appear in the report: they are there for the Test Engineer’s reference.
