PAT: Exporting Jobs from CertSuite to a Megger PAT400 series tester [08-0202]
PAT Data can be Exported from CertSuite using the green ‘Files’ button on the Job Details page. (Data can also be Imported - see the related support article below.)
- In the Jobs List - open the Job you want to export.
- Tap the green ‘Files’ button in the Job Details page.
- At the next screen tap the ‘Export File’ button.
There are 3 export options:
- Export only the Assets and Locations in the job that is open.
- Export all the Assets and Locations for the Client in question.
- Export all the Clients, Assets and Locations in CertSuite: this is the equivalent of a full backup of your CertSuite PAT data.
Make a selection and then:
- Tap the green ‘Create’ button.
- At the next screen tap the green 'Download' button.
- Confirm the download to your device of a type ‘.db’ file .
- The filename will start ‘cspat400’ and the filename will end '.db'.
- Once downloaded and transferred to a USB stick the file can be uploaded, i.e. ‘Restored’, to your PAT400 tester, following the on-screen instructions there.
If you are uploading a ‘.db’ file to your tester it is IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THIS:
- When you choose the ‘Restore from USB’ option on your PAT400 tester it overwrites all of the existing PAT test results, replacing them with only the Clients and Assets that are in the ‘.db’ file that is being uploaded.
- If you have not made a backup of your PAT400 data before uploading a new ‘.db’ file you could lose your work.
- So get into the habit of making a full backup of your PAT400 data before uploading a new ‘.db’ file.
- You can make a full backup by using the 'Data' tab on your PAT400 tester: for more information see the article below.
