Working Offline in the App: what you can / cannot do [06-0105]

Using CertSuite offline in the App is just like using CertSuite online. You can carry on entering job data and test results, but there are a few things that you cannot do.

CAN DO

  • Create new jobs, boards, circuits, contacts, test instruments, etc.
  • Enter new test results, and modify existing data
  • Switch to a job you have previously opened in the app

CANNOT DO

  • Get updates from other users working on the same job
  • Preview your certificates or reports
  • View all your jobs – you can only see the jobs available to you offline
  • Use the admin tab to change your company profile, buy licences, etc.
  • Upload photos
Top Tip: once your Internet connection is restored CertSuite automatically syncs any changes in the job that you currently have open. But it does not sync the changes to jobs that are closed. So when you have a good internet signal again get into the habit of following these simple steps:
  1. Open each of the offline jobs you have worked on in turn
  2. Select ‘Preview’ for each
  3. Check that the offline data displays OK in that job – if you can see it in the 'Preview' you know your work has synced
