Continue working offline [06-0101]

Working offline in the App (note that this is easier than working in a browser)

  • Any job that you have opened on your device when you are online can be re-opened when you are offline
  • Jobs that are available to you offline are flagged 'Offline' (in blue) in your Jobs List
  • If you have made changes to any jobs while you are offline, you must open those jobs again when you are back online: it is only when you do that that your changes will be synced up to the CertSuite Cloud
  • You can create new jobs while you are offline, but you must open these new jobs again when you are back online, so that they sync

Working offline in a browser

  • If you have a job open in your browser, you can continue to work on it even if you lose connection to the Internet.
  • You don’t have to do anything special: just carry on working as before.
  • CertSuite automatically stores all of the information on your device as you work, and synchronises this with your data in the cloud when Internet connection is restored.

Note that whether you are using the App or a Browser, there are a few things you cannot do offline. These include previewing certificates and reports, and accessing the Admin tab. But you can do all the key things you need to do on-site, such as enter test results and add job data. Find out more in the related articles below.
